Rohingya News Agency - (rvisiontv.com): “Around 11:15AM yesterday, a whirlwind or tornado hit internally displaced Rohingya Camps in Darpaing village also known as Refot Baariza in Sittwe (Akyab) Township. It destroyed 37 shelter tents and a school in the camps. Besides, it injured five people. They are now taking treatment in Thakkay Pyin (Sakki Fara) Clinic” said an internally displaced Rohingya in the camp.

Thousands of Rohingya have been killed and more than 140,000 of them have been displaced since the politically motivated violence targeting them started in June 2012. They are now forced to live in squalid and unprotected concentration camps and victims of a slow-burning genocide.
