Congratulation on the Appointment of OIC Special Envoy to Myanmar (Burma)

First of all, we at the Rohingya Arakanese Refugee Committee (RARC), Malaysia, on behalf of the entire Muslim Rohingya victims of genocide, segregation, discrimination and downtrodden people would like to congratulate the Government of Malaysia and its all level of authorities and people for having the historic honor with the appointment of His Excellency Tan Seri Syed Hamid Albar as Organization of Islamic Cooperation -OIC Special Envoy to Myanmar (Burma) to deal with Burmese Government for the establishment of peace and stability and restoration of harmony through comprehensive dialogues and mechanisms.

We also congratulate His Excellency Tan Seri Syed Hamid Albar for this excellent appointment as right position on the right time, while entire Muslim Rohingya and other Burmese Muslim community are very much proud to find His Excellency as OIC Special Envoy to Myanmar (Burma) which will pave vital roles for the protection of Muslim Rohingyas and other Muslim minorities in Burma together with the safety and existence of Islamic identities and heritages in Burma as perfect and symbolic indications in the whole Southeast Asian Nations.

We also congratulate His Excellency Iyad Amin Madani, the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for timely announcement on the appointment His Excellency Tan Seri Syed Hamid Albar as OIC Special Envoy to Myanmar (Burma), the former Foreign and Home Minster of Malaysia as one of the most expertise in dealing with many different nations and promoting relationship among various diversities of the world.

During the time of political, social and humanitarian crises, the international community, international humanitarian agencies are facing extreme challenges in operating programs for the betterment of Burma and its people and thus comprehensive dialogues in all level of people and authorities of Burma, both in country and exile are highly required with a view to promoting peace and restoring harmony, especially among non-Muslims and Muslims in Burma.

We are sure that the appointment of OIC Special Envoy to Myanmar (Burma) from Malaysia gives a golden chance to the Government of Malaysia in opening fresh strip and championing towards peace making in the region as an entitled peacemaker of the world. We expect that Government of Malaysia (Putrajaya) would take needful measure to play the roles peacemaker for rival Burmese (Myanmar) societies.

We do remind that Muslim Rohingya are the peace loving people, while believing toward Islam as believers of Civilized Islam (Islam Hadhari) in this contemporary ages. Therefore, the expectations of the Muslim Rohingyas are reaching beyond the world throughout the channels of the Government of Malaysia and its allies (ASEAN, OIC, UN and etc.) for all possible constructive engagement towards regional peace and stability, particularly the protection and safer lives of Muslim Rohingya and other Burmese Muslim Communities in Burma are highly desired.
