Rohingya News Agency –  (The Daily Star): Police yesterday arrested nine people including a Rohingya from Shahjalal International Airport while they were trying to go abroad with fake Bangladeshi passports and foreign visas.

They are Md Kayes of Mongdu in Myanmar, Yunus Ali Sarder, Md Siraj, Md Masum, Abdus Salam, Kobir Hossain, Zoynal Abedin, Abdul Aziz and Nesar.

The youths were trying to go to Saudi Arabia with the help of brokers, said Atiqur Rahman, senior superintendent of Airport Armed Police Battalion.

The law enforcers detained Kayes at first after identifying a fake photograph in his passport. The AAPBn detectives later arrested the rest following information gathered from Kayes, he said.

A case was filed with Airport Police Station in this connection.

Earlier on January 12 and 19, six persons including two Rohingyas were arrested from the airport while they were trying to go abroad with fake passports and visas.
