DT News Network Manama United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Chief Officer and Regional Representative of GCC States Hajer Mosa met Arakan Kingdom Organisation General Secretary Ebtisam Hejres at her office in Saudi Arabia.

In the meeting, the officials discussed several cases related to the Rohingya refugees issue. Mosa affirmed the UNHCR concern about the Rohingya
matter and its support to the Non-Governmental Organisations working in the humanitarian and rights fields.

Hejres noted that the international efforts paid to assist the Rohingya refugees isn’t sufficient, calling for more international coordination to save them.

Hejres also called for more international support to NGOs that are assisting Rohingya refugees in Myanmar or in refugee camps in the neighbouring countries.

Both officials praised the unconditional support offered by Bahrain and Saudi Arabia to aid the Rohingya people.

Hejres also pointed to the importance of ensuring the right of travelling to Rohingya refugees.
