Thousands of Crowd Mourns in Nurul Amin’s Funeral as Suspicious Assassination

Thousands of refugees, Government officials and local civil society members mourn in the funeral of Mr. Nurul Amin (aka) U Kyaw Min, a popular Rohingya Historian and Lawyer who was brutally attacked to assassination by a group of mastermind on 26 February 2016.

According to reliable source and doctors’ comment, no identification mark of accident was found, while two knife stabbing marks were seen inside his mouth and right ear beside severe head injuries. They also identified a whole beside his waist which is at least 3 to 4 inches dept.

On other hand, the accused CNG Taxi has reportedly denied the accident and the driver told to the people that I just saw this person lying down  here and not aware of anything, source further confirmed.

Two aides, who were together with Advocate Nurul Amin are trying to hide reality, while they are trying to say that we were not with him at the time of incident. Shah claimed himself that I dropped the President at Bus Terminal and return to linkroad bypass, while the other one left from his halfway.

Meanwhile, the victim was left alone until meeting such heinous tragedies.

It is learnt that his funeral prayer was performed after Zohor (mid day) prayer at the field of Kutupalong unregistered Rohingya refugee camp. In advance to prayer, Mr. Mohammed Wahidur Rahman, Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics officer for Cox’s Bazar District, Mr. Mujibur Rahman Chairman of Bangladesh Jubo (Youth) League for Ukhiya Sub-District, Mr. Nurul Kabir, Ukhiya Sub-District Statistics Officer and Mr. Anwar Shah, General Secretary of Arakan Rohingya Refugee Welfare Association (ARRWA) are among the others who have delivered valuable speeches.

The Rohingya men, women, in addition to the huge numbers of people including Bangladeshi nationals were present at Advocate Nurul Amin’s obituary and condolences.

Unregistered Rohingyas ongoing registration activities of the district government’s statistics office said the overall arsenal. In the meeting, Statistics officers were encouraged that everyone to be included in the registration of the unregistered Rohingya in the meeting. Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics is investigating the accident of Advocate Nurul Amin in order to extend overall reports and reality.
